2014 – SEASON 2:

We have had a very successful second season this year with three basketball teams entered in the Bulleen-Templestowe Basketball mid-week schools competition.  We had one premiership team (the Grade 4/5 boys) and one runners up (Gr 2/3 Gekkos) with the other Gr 2/3 team losing to the other Belle Vue team in the preliminary final.

Our Grade 4/5 boys team won the Grand Final on Wednesday 3 December, winning against an undefeated team who had twice beaten them during the season.  Well done boys!

Tensions were high as our two grade 2/3 teams played against each other in the Preliminary Final determining who would go through to the Grand Final.  In what was a replay of the prior season’s grand final, the result this season was reversed with the Gekkos winning 8-4 against the Stingers in a tightly fought game.  The Gekkos went on to become Runners Up in the Grand Final and played their hearts out!

2014 – SEASON 1:

We had a very successful first season this year with the four basketball teams entered in the Bulleen-Templestowe Schools Basketball mid-week competition.  We had three premiership teams and one runners up which is a fantastic effort from our players, coaches and of course supporters!

The Belle Vue Geckos teams are drawn from the strong friendship groups at Belle Vue Primary School. The teams are trained by parents or older students under supervision at the school (outside of school hours). They welcome the support of the Belle Vue community at their games.

Our Grade 5/6 boys team won the Grand Final on Monday 11th August. The Grade 4/5 boys team and our two Grade 2/3 teams had to have their finals a week later due to camp.

Tensions were high as our two Grade 2/3 teams played against each other on Tuesday August 19th.  After winning one game each during the season, Belle Vue Stingers won against Belle Vue Gekkos in a hard fought final.

Finally, to top off our winning streak, the Grade 4/5 boys team won their final on August 20th.  Well done to everyone. A special thank you to coaches Kim M & Emma P, Paul H and Jackson P.
