Principal’s Update 5 October

Dear Belle Vue Families,

A warm welcome back to everyone for Term 4. We do hope you have had some quality time over the break as a family and are ready for an exciting, but busy Term 4 ahead.

BELLE VUE ART SHOW – CELEBRATING THE ARTS

On Wednesday the 18th of October from 6.00pm – 7.30pm we will have be having our annual Belle Vue Art Show. This evening is all about celebrating the arts at Belle Vue. Parents/carers will have to wander the senior building to enjoy and appreciate the creating pieces of visual artwork from our students. We will also have a performance from our choir and selected students who will provide live background music, to add to the evening. The evening will culminate in an auction to purchase select pieces of art.  We will have more information come home with further details. This is an important event on the belle Vue calendar to celebrate all of the artists in our school and we hope to see many of you there.

WELCOME TO OUR NEW FAMILIES

A warm welcome to our new families that joined the Belle Vue community this week. Barana from 12P and her parents Hamid and Mona and Serah from 34W and her parents Sherin and Gee. We welcome you all to our school and community and please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or me in person if we can be of any support.

LEARNING PARTNERS

It was great to see our parents/carers returning back into classes last term to support with learning as part of our Learning Partners Program. As part of our commitment to the Child Safe Standards, we require all volunteers at our school to be aware of. Please contact your child’s teacher if you wish to be a Learning Partner this term and we will provide you with the Learning Partner Agreement to sign.

COLOUR FUN RUN

Next week is our Crazy Colour Day! We look forward to seeing students get involved and having an afternoon of colour and fun. We will aim for the event to start next Friday the 13th of October at 2.30pm. Further details will be communicated next week to parents/carers about the actual fun run event.

If any parents would like to get involved, please come and have a chat to me or send me an email or phone the office. Even if you can’t help, we’d love to see you down there on the day cheering the kids on… Everyone’s invited! Please remember to keep collecting donations,

We are all doing an amazing job and putting in a super effort raising money through the School Fun Run. We have raised just over $8,000. Keep up the amazing effort over the holidays.

As mentioned last term, all students will receive an icy-pole from Mr Wood to recognise the amazing effort. If we make $10,000 Mr Wood will happily get slimed in front of the whole school. Please note, prize ordering is now open until Wednesday October the 18th.

REFERENDUM DAY  – CAKE STALL AND BBQ
