Reading Support

Reading Support is an early intervention program aimed at improving reading and writing skills in at-risk students.

Reading Support offers a series of one-on-one lessons with a trained instructor, for 12 to 20 weeks.

The program offers special support to children in Grade One whose literacy skills require targeted assistance.  It enables these children to catch up to their peers and become active, independent readers and writers who are better able to join in the daily literacy activities of the classroom.

For the program to be truly effective – it needs to be followed up and supported at home.
